Richard Povey 800x800

Richard Povey
Project Manager

Richard has overall responsibility for strategy, marketing and development of Taste Waterford. He moved to Ireland from the UK in 2009, and works with members, stakeholders, producers, retail and hospitality, to ensure we all get to hear about the passionate food and drink story in Co. Waterford.

He calls upon his marketing and business experience to continually think of ways to connect people with producers, and promote Co. Waterford’s stunning landscapes and connection with food and drink. “Co. Waterford is amazing. I can take a mountain walk in the morning, visit the countryside at lunchtime, then pop to the beach in the afternoon, whilst seeing how strongly producers are linked with the area.”

Waterford foodie highlight? “That’s an easy one! After a morning surf at my favourite beach, enjoying a well-earned cuppa and breakfast blaa.”

Maeve Quill 800x800

Maeve Quill
Food and Drink Consultant

Maeve is the current CEO of The West Waterford Festival of Food. From Dungarvan originally, Maeve spent over 20 years in the UK creating and project managing content production for high-end visual communications and event companies. She arrived back home in 2007 and has since worked in media in Dungarvan.

Passionate about her county and food, Maeve embraced the opportunity to work with Taste Waterford, advising on strategy and the world class businesses locally. “The passion and enthusiasm people have in Waterford for their produce is incredible. I’m delighted to be a part of it and showcase our wonderful county and producers
nationally and internationally’.

Waterford foodie highlight? “A thrice weekly sea swim in Clonea followed by coffee and something delicious at The Railway Cottage.”
