Blackwater Valley Opera Festival returns with a spectacular 2026 programme, blending world-class music, fine dining, and the best of local hospitality in the heart of Waterford’s scenic Blackwater Valley.
Opera takes centre stage with Mozart’s Don Giovanni, in the grounds of Lismore Castle, and a second opera in St Carthage’s Cathedral, Lismore. Audiences can enjoy recitals in historic homes and venues, concerts at the atmospheric Dromore Yard, and free open-air performances in Lismore, Dungarvan, Youghal, and Castlemartyr.
Food and drink are at the heart of the experience. Guests can savour formal opera dining by chef Eunice Power in Lismore Castle Gardens; or enjoy gourmet table picnics in Lismore and at Dromore Yard. Festival bars will offer fine wines and sparkling drinks curated by expert partners.
Visitors are encouraged to extend their stay with handpicked local accommodation, while businesses can entertain clients through bespoke corporate hospitality packages.
Friends Membership relaunches autumn 2025, with 40% of funds dedicated to education and community outreach. Members also enjoy priority booking ahead of Christmas. Tickets go on general sale in January 2025.
