We had a special networking event last night (06 August 2024) hosted by Caroline Fletcher-O’Connor of Ballyin House, Lismore.
Along with an afternoon tea experience showcasing seasonal sweet and savoury treats from local producers, Caroline offered a tour of the Georgian property, and talked about its history which was once home to Sir Arthur Conan Doyle and inspiration for the fictional detective, Sherlock Holmes.
There was also a tour of the gardens which produce many of the organic ingredients for the sustainable afternoon tea, and the picturesque Owenashad River which runs alongside the property.
Guests even got to feed the resident donkeys Tiny, Daisy and Chips!
It was great to see so many people from the food and drink community coming together for a wonderful evening.
Thank you to Caroline and her team for an unforgettable event.
