We were delighted to attend 27 February 2025 the Waterford Rural Tourism Network event, organised by Waterford City & County Council in partnership with Fáilte Ireland.
Held at the stunning Gardenmorris Estate in Kill, Taste Waterford offered welcome refreshments on arrival from the Blue Butterfly Coffee Company, and a delicious Meet and Mingle brunch – a showcase of Taste Waterford produce curated by Ní Bhrian Restaurant.
A range of producers included Knockanore Farmhouse Cheese, Irish Gourmet Butter, Comeragh Mountain Farm, and Cocoa by Judit.
The WRTN is made up of five cluster areas – the Copper Coast, Blackwater Valley, Comeragh, Gaeltacht, and Waterford Estuary. The aim of the network is to develop the tourism offering in rural Waterford and enhance the overall tourism offering in Waterford.
As well as plenty of networking, our project manager Richard Povey was invited on a panel discussion themed ‘Collaborating to Champion Rural Waterford and County Waterford’, where he spoke about the range of food experiences Taste Waterford offers.
It was so inspiring to talk with so many people passionate about raising the profile of tourism in the area.
