As 2025 comes to a close, we wanted to say a massive thank you to the food and drink community, members, retail, hospitality, stakeholders, producers, chefs and growers – all those who helped and supported the food and drink story in Co. Waterford.
We’ve had an incredible year sharing what makes Co. Waterford so special with food and drink.
We also wanted to highlight our key achievements, along with a snapshot of memorable moments!
- Ran 3 training workshops with Forge Partners, Brand Craft, and David McNally covering social media, AI, and hospitality.
- Held and attended 10 networking events – including Waterford Crystal, Coach House Coffee, and Railway Cottage.
- Launched the City Select Taste Tour, and time limited City Scary Taste Tour.
- Ran Taste Tours across the Comeragh Mountains, Waterford City and Dungarvan.
- Held food demos, chats and tastings at 2 key food festivals – showcasing 12 different producers, chefs and restaurants.
- 24 new members joined – artisan producers, restaurants and attractions.
- Connected with thousands of foodies on social media – followers increased by average of 12%
- Published 33 blog posts
- Achieved PR coverage across Ireland
- Sent 21 foodie and member newsletters – connecting with 100s of foodies.
- Launched an online Christmas Foodie Guide to support ‘buy local’.
- Promoted a range of local award-winners.
- Attended travel trade events Meitheal and ITOA – connecting with tourism buyers globally.
- Shortlisted in the Waterford Digital Awards – Best SEO strategy category.
- Taste Waterford and Ní Bhrian restaurant curated lunch for WRTN at Garden Morris Estate.
- Taste Waterford and Meat Jon curated a special dining experience in the Waterford Medieval Museum for 80 delegates of the Association of Visitor Experiences & Attractions.
- Held familiarisation food tours for international buyers in Dungarvan and Waterford.
- Visit Waterford partnership – to ensure food and drink is core to the visitor experience.
