Membership terms and conditions
1. Taste Waterford expects all members to maintain the highest standard of service and professionalism at all times.
2. Members should maintain and operate their premises and/or businesses in accordance with all relevant statutory requirements, including environmental law and practice. They should comply with all relevant trading standards and consumer protection legislation currently in force by HSE and FSAI.
3.Taste Waterford reserves the right to terminate the membership of any member that: Ceases trading or is dissolved; is deemed likely to bring Taste Waterford into disrepute; fails to provide an adequate standard of service or goods or fails to provide an adequate standard of accommodation, or fails to comply with the Taste Waterford Charter, thereby generating complaints that are to the detriment of Taste Waterford’s reputation.
4. Taste Waterford is not obliged to accept any application for membership.
5. Terms and conditions of membership may be revised from time to time and will be notified to members in writing.
6. You give consent to provide your personal and business detail to Taste Waterford, who can use them for operating purposes of Taste Waterford, including any marketing material.
7. Members are expected to complete all surveys sent by Taste Waterford to their best ability to ensure on-going improvements to membership and Taste Waterford brand.
8. The Taste Waterford logo can be used on the member’s premises and literature, including website and marketing materials. The Taste Waterford logo is not permitted to be used on product packaging.
9. No preference is given to any member with regards to promotion via Taste Waterford. Additionally, Taste Waterford reserves the right not to publish posts regarding news and events via a member page.

Definition of Terms:
“The Organisation” means Taste Waterford.
“The Member” means a business agreed to become a member of Taste Waterford.
“The Directors” means Taste Waterford team/staff.
These terms and conditions are to be read in conjunction with the Taste Waterford Charter, membership terms and conditions and membership communications. These form the agreement between all parties.

By visiting this website, you are accepting and consenting to the practices described in our policies laid out here (including as updated or amended from time to time). If, for any reason you do not agree to the terms outlined, you should stop using the website immediately.
The laws of Ireland will apply to the subject matter of these terms and the Irish courts will have exclusive jurisdiction in relation to any dispute arising out of or in connection with these terms.
By joining Taste Waterford, you are stating that your business values closely relate to the values of The Organisation and its other Members.
The Member acknowledges that as a Member they will be bound by the rules and regulations relating to Members as prescribed by the Directors. The Organisation reserves the right to alter and amend these terms and conditions from time to time, as necessary.
The Member is required to immediately inform The Organisation, by email, of any changes to your correspondence address(es). The Organisation will not be held liable for any non-receipt of communication from The Organisation, including, but not limited to, any renewal reminders.
The Member will use the best endeavours to promote the Organisation’s aims and objectives and shall not do anything that prejudices or in any way denigrates the interests of The Organisation. The Directors reserve the right to terminate this agreement at any time, at their discretion.
Membership implies a commitment to the development of quality regional food and drink related businesses in Co. Waterford. Each Member will, therefore, do his/her utmost to maintain and improve the standard of any of the businesses it is working with.
Membership lasts for 12 months from date of successful subscription, and is automatically renewed, unless cancelled by the member in writing. Fees are taken directly by Stripe and one month’s cancellation notice is required.
The Member guarantees that any elements of text, graphics, photos, designs, trademarks, or other artwork furnished to Taste Waterford for inclusion on the Taste Waterford website, or other design, are owned by the Member, or that the Member has permission from the rightful owner to use each of these elements, and will hold harmless, protect, indemnify and defend Taste Waterford and its subcontractors from any liability (including solicitors fees and court costs), including any claim or suit, threatened or actual, arising from the use of such elements furnished by the Member. Evidence of ownership or permissions may be requested by Taste Waterford.
By any member sending Taste Waterford any form of marketing, including logos, text, imagery and video, they give full consent to use the marketing across any Taste Waterford marketing channel, including but not limited to the website, social media and printed literature.
Members are expected to at all times to comply fully with their obligations under any Act of The Oireachtas, Order, regulations or relevant Code of Practice.
In entering into membership of The Organisation it is hereby acknowledged by the Member that The Organisation and Directors shall not be made party to any contractual arrangements as between that Member and any third party whether expressly or by implication.
In granting membership to any person or business, The Organisation does not act in any way as an agent for the Member. Any sales promotion, advertising and sale of goods is, and shall remain the sole responsibility of the Member. The Company reserves the right to require any Member to alter, remove or cease from, any sales promotion, and sale of goods associated with Taste Waterford that contravenes any Act of The Oireachtas, Order, Regulation or Code of Practice, that brings or is likely to bring Taste Cork into disrepute.
Any marketing undertaken by Taste Waterford on behalf of a Member, which may subsequently be deemed incorrect or misleading, is the sole responsibility of the Member and Taste Waterford cannot accept any liability.
Taste Waterford takes great care in dealing and processing your data in accordance with the provisions of the Data Protection Act 2018.
In entering into membership of Taste Waterford it is hereby acknowledged by the Member that Taste Waterford will circulate and promote the contact details of its members. Filtered copies of the membership database (containing only contact information) are provided as a membership benefit. It is not permissible for Members, or The Organisation to circulate The Organisation’s membership database beyond the remit of the membership or to any third party, without the expressed consent of the Member and The Organisation. There is an opportunity for Members to opt out of this benefit on the membership application form, should the Member not wish to benefit from this service.
Limitation of liability of The Organisation: Should The Organisation be in breach of its responsibilities and obligations on membership, the liability is limited to the annual membership subscription.
The Organisation can seek public funding to assist with its work. Where a Member benefits from such funded activity, it is a condition of their involvement that the Member provides feedback, when requested by The Organisation.
Intellectual property: The Organisation logo is trademarked, and can only be used in accordance with the terms and conditions of membership, for the purpose of promotion of the Member and The Organisation. The licence to use the Organisation’s logo will be terminated immediately, if membership is terminated by either party.
