Taste Waterford is a membership based food and drink network spanning Co. Waterford. Established in 2017, it’s supported by Waterford City & County Council, LEO Waterford, the Department of Agriculture, Food and the Marine, Waterford Leader Partnership, and Bord Iascaigh Mhara.
We exist for our members – producers, hospitality and retail, those who are passionately involved in the Co. Waterford food and drink story. And to help promote this narrative, we support our members in many ways. Networking helps to collaborate and support each other. And a range of supports for artisans and producers helps them become more visible.
Their story can be told in many different ways – through social media or a producer tour. And they are always striving to deliver the very best service possible. So we offer tailored training to help them achieve this. And a host of other benefits like fairs and events make sure awards, product launches, tours or any news members have reaches people – the end user. And it’s the foodie people who are champions of our wonderful produce that we ultimately connect with – those who want something special.
With a comprehensive website, locals and visitors can quickly find a food and drink producer, discover a place to dine, choose accommodation or meet a maker through a trail or tour.
We have also partnered with Visit Waterford to ensure that food and drink is core to the visitor experience in the city and county.
This exciting move endorses Co. Waterford’s heritage, beauty, and culinary sector.

Through a diverse member base and industry insight, we’re on a mission to ensure producers, hospitality and retail, promote and sell their story, so that businesses, locals and visitors are aware of the quality of food and drink in Co. Waterford. We want Co. Waterford to further endorse its position as a leading food and drink destination in Ireland.
Taste Waterford (Taste Experiences Waterford) is a company limited by guarantee with a board of directors. It is supported by Waterford City & County Council, LEO Waterford, the Department of Agriculture, Food and the Marine, Waterford Leader Partnership, and Bord Iascaigh Mhara.
It has a project manager that works with the board to develop strategy and planning for the coming year. The project manager also has responsibility for the carrying out the plan and managing day-to-day activities.
Taste Waterford also works with Visit Waterford to ensure that food experiences are promoted locally, nationally, and internationally, along with customer-facing members, including producers. The Taste Waterford project manager works with the manager at Visit Waterford to ensure marketing campaigns are consistent through the year.
The project manager also liaises with members and stakeholders regarding training, to ensure relevancy and quality of training in food and drink.
Taste Waterford works with Fáilte Ireland and tourism bodies to create and develop food experiences.
